The Easiest Cinnamon Roll Hack

Want to make your cinnamon rolls taste homemade without going to all that effort?  This is such an easy hack that will have your baked goods tasting like the “these took me hours to prep and make” version.  All you have to do is buy the cinnamon rolls of your choosing and back them as the instructions say.  I prefer to use a glass pan.  Now comes the magic: throw. away. the. Frosting.  Seriously, the frosting is the key to taking your cinnamon roll game to the next level.  Here’s the recipe for the easiest frosting that will make your mouth water.

Cinnamon Roll Frosting


3 tablespoons of butter

1 tablespoon of whipping cream (or half and half)

½ cup of powdered sugar

Cinnamon buns


Melt butter until soft

Add in whipping cream

Slowly add in powdered sugar gradually 

*The key here is getting the right consistency.  If you’re going for a glaze, ease back on the amount of sugar.  If you’re going for a full on frosting go heavy on the powdered sugar.
