Morning Pages

Morning pages started as a creativity practice for artists.  The concept comes from Julia Cameron's book "The Artist's Way".

It's also become very popular amongst people who would not consider themselves "creatives" as a mindfulness practice, to help create a clear mind, and to set the tone for your day.

There are many variations to Morning Pages, but the tenets are fairly straight forward.

  • It should be done in the morning, as close to waking as possible.
  • It should be stream-of-consciousness
  • It should be a minimum of one page, but closer to five pages (you can work up to this!)
